Registry
The Registry lets you establish a permanent file containing professional records important to your social work career. Best for candidates looking to be licensed in multiple states.
Serves as a verification source for social work licensing boards.
They collect/store Social Work-related documents. (Transcripts, supervision hours, licensure)
Fees:
$60 to join & $30 annual fee.
There are record transfer fees.
1 free score transfer a year & $30 score transfer after
Score transfers for registry members must be done online.
License verification can be up to $50 per state.
The amount of the fee will depend on how much/what needs to be sent.
Audits
The Member Services Department performs a yearly CE Audit for the Maryland Board. The Maryland Board randomly selects a set number of Social Workers to be included in the audit. These Social Workers are sent a letter informing them of the audit and are instructed to complete, and sign, a CE Form and to submit CE certificates for the audit. Member Services receives the audits via mail, fax and email.
The Maryland Board provides ASWB with a list of criteria for the CE’s that can be accepted as well as a list of criteria for CE’s that cannot be accepted for the audit. Any callers with questions regarding their audit should be forwarded to the Member Services team for resolution.
They send the letters out to gather the documents from SW and then verify all documents match with CEU regulations for the State.
