Dictionary Requirements for ELL

Candidates are now required to bring own dictionary if approved:

Translation dictionaries are limited to word-to-word and may not contain definitions. English language dictionaries are limited to common definitions in English; no social work or other related specialized profession dictionaries are allowed. 

The personally supplied dictionary/ies chosen by the test-taker must:

·         Be a print version

·         In the case of a bilingual dictionary, include only word-to-word translation

·         Contain no additional notes or markings added to the preprinted text

·         Dictionaries can be unsealed as they are subject to inspection

 An example of an acceptable bilingual, word-to-word translation dictionary would be, Spanish edition Word To Word Bilingual Dictionary: C. Sesma: 9780933146990: Amazon.com: Books
