How do I report an issue

The following outlines the information needed when reporting an issue with an ASWB application.

Overview

When reporting issues, the more information that you can provide to the IT team the better. The following lists the standard data points we would like to receive when you are reporting an issue, however, we understand that at times some of the information may not be available.

Issues on a Webpage

  • Summary - A brief description of what the issue was

  • Expected Result - what should have occurred if the error did not happen

  • URL - The exact URL shown in the browser address bar when the issue was experienced

  • Who observed the error - Was the issue experienced by you, a Social Worker, a Board Member.

  • Observer Login - the username used when the issue was experienced DO NOT INCLUDE A PASSWORD

  • Reproduction steps - a list of steps to take to reproduce the error. Include specific buttons to press, or specific data to enter leading up to and including when the error occurs. If the error occurred while performing a documented test case, you need only list the test case ID.

  • Browser Information - What browser and version was used when the error is experienced

  • Screenshots - Any screenshots of the error message, or page. It is preferred that the screenshot be of the entire browser window including the tab bar, the address bar and status bar at the bottom
